🌟 The Story: A Young Employee and the HR Head
A young employee went to the HR Head and said:
"Sir, I want to resign. This organization has too much politics, toxic people, and constant negative talk. I can’t take it anymore."
The HR Head calmly responded:
“Before you decide to leave, I ask you to do one last thing for me.”
The young man agreed.
The HR Head handed him a glass filled with water and said:
“Take this glass and walk around the office three times. Be very careful not to spill a single drop.”
The employee did as instructed. He walked around the office slowly and carefully. After completing the task, he returned.
The HR Head asked:
“While you were walking around, did you see any politics? Hear any gossip? Notice any toxic behavior?”
The employee replied:
“No, I was so focused on the glass of water, I didn’t notice anything else.”
The HR Head smiled and said:
“Exactly. The problems you mentioned will always exist in any organization, in some form. But when you focus on your goals, your growth, your work, you won’t be distracted by negativity. Keep your focus on what really matters.”
